One Tough Cookie Trail / Road Race - 11 mile, 8 mile, or 4 mile: SATURDAY, September 2, 2017
**Note change of day from Sunday to Saturday for 2017**

Run the hills of the Allegheny National Forest where it is rocky, scenic and peaceful! The 11 mile course begins on the well-groomed, dirt-stone road called Morrison Run (located behind Dollar General store on Route 6, Warren) and continues 4 low-grade uphill miles to paved Mohawk Avenue where the course turns left for a slightly steeper uphill challenge. At the top of this uphill stretch, the trail turns left onto well marked forestry roads/trails and returns runners the remaining rolling hills/flat/downhill 6 miles to the start. Four (4) and eight (8) mile course is an up and back on Morrison Run with turn-a-rounds marked. Water stations will be available along the course. Proceeds from this race benefit LIVESTRONG at the YMCA.
(Parking is limited this year! Please consider car pooling! Budget Lodge on Route 6 can accomodate limited number of cars. Thank you Budget Lodge!)

Cost: $20 Pre-register before October 2nd / $25 October 3rd thru Race Day.

Course description: Note: Registration will be at the Warren County YMCA, 212 Lexington Avenue, Warren, Pa. ***At 8:15 am runners will then be bused to the start line at the Kinzua Beach on the Allegheny National Forest.
*3 hour cap on finishing race.

The race will begin at 9:00 am at the Kinzua Beach and proceed east on Route 59 approximately 4 miles toward the Kinzua Dam. Runners will enjoy the scenic view as they run across the dam and then turn left down a steep decline toward Hemlock Avenue. The rolling hills of Hemlock Avenue will take runners approximately 6 miles to Pennsylvania Avenue where they will continue to a left on Irvine Street and then a right on Lexington Avenue with the finish at the YMCA.
Note: Five water stations will be located approximately every 2 - 2 1/2 miles throughout the course with the final station at mile eleven. (The 3rd station will provide Gatorade.)

12th Annual Kinzua Country Tango 2017 - Saturday, August 5, 2017

BE THE ADVENTURE! The Tango will be back for its 12th year on Saturday, August 5th!.
As in prior years, this adventure race starts at 7:00 am with the 1st leg of the event - the 13.1 mile run. Participants will leave from the YMCA in Warren, Pennsylvania and run along the scenic Allegheny River toward Kinzua Beach within the Allegheny National Forest. Other segments of the race include 20 mile non-technical mountain biking, 2.2 mile out and back open water swim, orienteering course located over a 6+ mile course, short road or trail run (1-4 mile) and a final 7 mile out and back flat water canoe race on the Allegheny Reservoir with the finish at the Kinzua Beach. *Pre-race: The pre-race events will be held Friday, August 4th at the Warren YMCA, 212 Lexington Avenue, Warren, Pa.. The pre-race team check-in & expo will begin at 6:00 pm and the informational meeting at 7:00 pm.
**New for 2017 - Tailgate at the Tango - YMCA Parking lot cookout with hamburgers & hot dogs during Pre-race night.

*Post-race: Festivities and awards ceremony will be held at the Kinzua Beach where there will be food and music to finish out the race. Other after-race activities include Mini Tango for Kids, Team Tents Decor Contest (Door prize for best theme for the Tango, announced after the race.) Slip & Slide and much, much more!

Solo: One person, completing every event!
Two-Person Complete: Two person Tango where each pearson competes in all events together.
Relay: Up to 6 people may compete (pairs are required for canoe and orienteering legs of the Tango)
Special Team Divisions:
Corporate: All members must be actively employed by the same company with the exception of one (1) team member.
Corporate Community: Sponsorship by corporate without employee requirements.
High School: All students must be currently enrolled in the same high school with seniors graduating in the Spring of the Tango year.
Women's Relay: All team members must be women.
Open: Any combination of participants who do not qualify in the other team categories will be in the open relay division.High School, Corporate Community, Womens
