YMCA Extreme Allstar Cheerleading/Hip Hop Teams 2017-18

No previous cheerleading, dance or tumbling experience required! The Cheer/Hip Hop Teams will compete in competitions in Pennsylvania, New York and Ohio. Practices will focus on stunting, tumbling and comptetition routines. Practices will begin in August where participants will be evaluated by the coaches and placed on the team according to their ability.

Dates: Season runs from August 1, 2017 through mid April of 2018
Registration: April 29, 2017 thru August 1, 2017 (Late fee of $20.00 if registering from August 2nd thru September 4th)
Registration Fee: $30.00 non-refundable
Monthly Fee: Member & Non-member rates. See below
Fundraising Fee: Cheer = $200.00 / Hip Hop Dance = $100.00 (See below)
Parent Meeting: Monday, July 10, 2017 / Time 6:00 pm for Cheer parents / 7:00 pm for Hip Hop Parents / Location: Warren YMCA / Money due $30 registration fee if not already paid and August team fee.

Tinys Pre-team: Ages 3 - 6
Tinys Competitive: Ages 5 - 6
Minis: Ages 5 - 8
Youth: Ages 6 - 11
Junior Team: Ages 8 - 14
Senior Team: Ages 11 - 18

Hip Hop Age Groups:
Minis: Ages 7 & under
Youth: Ages 11 & under
Senior: Ages 12-18 years

* Coaches reserve the right to place athletes on teams based on their skill level.

Cheer: $25 ($40 family max)

Fundraising Requirements (per athlete):

Athlete is also responsible for:
Shoes, hair piece, make-up kit and bow (These items may be fundraised in addition to the requirement. Approximate cost $120)
$50 uniform usage fee - CHEER ONLY - Cannot be fundraised and is due at the user agreement signing in January 2018.

Hip Hop Team members will be responsible for purchasing their own outfit, shoes, hair piece & bow.

Gym time during season will be provided for practices as follows:

A. Tuesday: 5:00 - 9:00 pm (Half gym) (Youth 5:00-7:00 / Jr. 7:00-9:00)
B. Wednesday: 5:00 - 9:00 pm (Half gym) (Tiny/Mini 5:00-7:00 / Sr. 7:00-9:00)
C. Sunday: 12:30 - 5:00 (Full gym) (Hip Hop 12:30-2:00 / Tiny&Mini 2:00-3:00 / Youth 3:00-4:00 / Jr.&Sr. 4:00-5:00)

** Registration for the 2017-2018 will be as follows:
The registration for the 2017-18 season opens April 29, 2017 and continues through August 1, 2017.
NO registration will be accepted after September 4, 2017.
**A $20.00 late fee added to registrations received between August 2 - September 4, 2017. Additionally, the August & September team payments will be required as this is used to pay for future tournaments.

**Committment to Team:
Contract signing will be July 10, 2017.
Due at this time is a $30.00 non-refundable registration fee is due if it was not paid upon registration. (This fee is used to register participant as a USASF member for competitions and insurance fee.)

.**Monthly Program fees:
The monthly session fee due before 12:00 noon on the 15th of every month beginning July 15, 2017 (This will cover August monthly fee) with the last payment due on March 15, 2018. (This will cover April monthly fee)
Payments will NOT be accepted at the front desk of the YMCA, instead there is a locked box marked 'Cheerleading' in the front lobby that all payments need to be placed into.
Please clearly mark the envelope with participant's name, team and amount being paid.
Payments not made on time will be subject to a $20.00 late fee.

Coaches reserve the right to place athletes on teams based on their skill levels.
Cheer teams are subject to combine depending on registration numbers.
Hip Hop teams availability will depend on registration numbers.
If an athlete is invited to perform on an additional team, a $50.00 fee and signed crossover agreement will be due at that time.

Financial Assistance/Memberships:
YMCA membership and program cost assistance may be available through the YMCA scholarship program. An application is required and takes approximately 2 week to process. Summer Cheer/Hip Hop Camp:
Cheer/Hip Hop Camp: June 26 - 30, 2017 (Evening Camp)

Campers ages 3-5 and 6-18 will participate in a dynamic, fun-filled program combining dance, jump, tumbling and stunts. Parent observation will be held Friday, June 30th. Registration begins Monday, May 1st.
**T-shirts given if registered for camp by June 9, 2017.

**In addition, campers will participate in the Fourth of July parade on Tuesday, July 4th.

YMCA Extreme All Star Cheerleading/Hip Hop - Open Gyms

The All Star Cheer and Hip Hop Team will hold open gyms for anyone wanting to learn how to cheer/hip hop or to improve cheer/hip hop skills. Open gyms will begin May 15, 2017 and will run in 3 week sessions; meeting three times per week on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. (Week 3 will run Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday.) During these open gyms, participants will be taught fundamentals of cheerleading/hip hop such as motions and jumps. They will be instructed in tumbling as well as stunting. Proper form and safety will be emphasized. Minimum participants: 8. Maximum participants: 50.
Registration begins Saturday, April 29, 2017.

Session 1: May 15th - May 31st Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday
Session 2: June 5th - June 21st Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday
Session 3: July 9th - July 30th Sunday/Tuesday/Wednesday ** See time schedule below

This preseason trial week allows anyone interested in joining the team to opportunity to experience true insight on what is expected and how the season practices will run, ensuring this is a good fit before signing a contract for the season. Cost is same as above open gyms. Practice groups and times listed below:

**If registering siblings at 2 different age groups for Open Gym, cost will be reduced by $10.00.


NOTE: It is required that children 9 and under be accompanied by an adult at all times while at our YMCA. Children 9 and under must be accompanied to and from programs/classes. No Front Entry drop off or pick up.
